Registration Information
Near Boundary Polling Stations (“NBPSs”) Scheme
- The Registration and Electoral Office (“REO”) will set up Near Boundary Polling Stations (“NBPSs”) to facilitate electors who need to travel between Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and overseas to vote on polling day.
Details of the Arrangement
- The Government will set up NBPSs at the two schools near the Sheung Shui MTR station, namely Hong Kong Taoist Association Tang Hin Memorial Secondary School and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kap Yan Directors’ College, the Passenger Clearance Building of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (“HZMB”) Hong Kong Port, and Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2 (hereinafter referred to as "Sheung Shui NBPSs", "HZMB NBPS" and "Airport NBPS").
- For location and guidance on routes to NBPSs, please refer to the below Annex.
Eligibility to register
- Any registered electors of geographical constituencies (“GC”) and functional constituencies (“FC”) for the 2025 LCGE. Electors may login to the Online Voter Information Enquiry System to ascertain whether he / she is a registered elector.
- The Arrangement is not applicable to Election Committee constituency (“ECC”) electors. All ECC electors have been arranged to cast their votes at the ECC polling station.
Registration hours
- From 9 a.m on 19 November 2025 to 6 p.m. on 2 December 2025. Late application will not be accepted.
Registration arrangement and process
Step 1: Login to the online registration system
Step 2: Provide information necessary for registration
- Must be provided for registration:
- Chinese / English name;
- Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID) number; and
- contact telephone number (including telephone number at the HKSAR or the Mainland which can receive SMS.)
- Email address can be provided during registration.
- The online registration system has been integrated with iAM Smart. Electors can save the part of filling in your Chinese and English name, HKID number by performing identity verification through iAM Smart in the system.
Step 3: Choose the polling station and timeslot
- Choose the proposed polling station and timeslot (voting period is calculated on an hourly basis). Quotas are set according to the hourly voting periods.
- In case registrants have to change their itineraries on the polling day, they can simply cancel or change the registration through the online registration system during the registration period.
- If the registration period has already expired when the change of itinerary is made, registrant concerned may contact the REO (Tel: 2891 1001) direct.
Step 4: Wait for notification of registration result
- The REO will send a notification of registration result to the electors concerned via SMS and email (if applicable) instantly after the registration to confirm whether they have been successfully registered to vote at the NBPSs.
- Only upon receipt of the notification of registration result confirming their successful registration, electors can cast their votes at the registered NBPSs.
- If the registration is not accepted, or notification of registration result is not received, electors can contact REO hotline at 2891 1001 or email reoenq@reo.gov.hk.

- The REO will set up signage to indicate the routes near NBPSs. Staff will be deployed along the routes to provide assistance.
- The REO will arrange shuttle bus to carry electors to and from Sheung Shui MTR station and the Sheung Shui NBPSs, please refer to Annex for the location of pick-up and drop off points.
