Purpose of Collection

The personal data provided by you in connection with your complaint will be used by the Electoral Affairs Commission/the Returning Officer in processing your complaint. The provision of personal data on this occasion is entirely voluntary. However, if you do not provide adequate information, the Electoral Affairs Commission/the Returning Officer may not be able to process your complaint.

Classes of Transferees

Where necessary, the Electoral Affairs Commission/the Returning Officer may provide the personal data submitted by you to law enforcement agencies/other departments/organisations in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) for the purpose of processing your complaint.

Access to Personal Data

You have the right to request access to, and to request the correction of, the personal data you supplied in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). Such requests should be made in writing to the Secretary of the Electoral Affairs Commission at 8th Floor, Treasury Building, 3 Tonkin Street West, Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon or to the Returning Officer concerned.
