The spirit of the Corrupt and Illegal Practices Ordinance (CIPO) is to uphold a clean and fair election
According to the Ordinance, an elector :
Must not solicit or accept any advantage (including money, gift, etc.) or
entertainment (including meal, drink, etc.) from any person for influencing
his/her voting decision
Must not vote if he has knowingly provided false or incomplete information
while registering as an elector
